Happy Friday the 13th! Feeling unlucky? Don't be. It's a chance for you to seize an opportunity whilst others are being overly cautious. As Seneca says, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity”. Go grab that opportunity.
Here are 5 things I'd like to share with you this week:
In case you missed it, this week Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook founder & CEO) appeared before US lawmakers after the recent Facebook data scandal (see Cambridge Analytica). Apart from the fact that it seemed the US Congress are clueless as to how Facebook (or even the Internet as a whole) works, Zuck's facial expressions and overall demeanour were quite comical. Here's one of my favourite tweets on it so far.

“Make sure your worst enemy doesn't live between your two ears.” - Laird Hamilton
‘Tell the truth - or at least don’t lie’ is rule 9 in Jordan B Peterson’s latest book ‘12 Rules for Life’. This struck a chord with Scott McInnes, communications expert and friend, as he believes honesty is at the heart of strong culture. Thanks to the likes of the 'fake news' epidemic, distrust among people, businesses and governments is at an all-time high. In his latest blog post, Scott outlines 5 points that he recommends in order to build trust within your organisation or business. Click here to have a read.
Picked up a smartphone/GoPro gimbal from FeiyuTech during the week. Haven't had a chance to properly use it yet but it's pretty nifty. Have a look at the (cheesy) video below to see what it's like. I might just start vlogging if you're (un)lucky!
Tom Misch released his latest album this week. Here's an excellent track from it.
