Hello, hello, hello!
Here are 5 things I'd like to share with you this week:
“Not having the best situation, but seeing the best in your situation, is the key to happiness.” - Marie Forleo
As mentioned in a post earlier in the month, this year I'm trying to read at least 1 book per month in order to learn and broaden my horizons, and it's really been paying off. April's pick was Ryan Holiday's "The Obstacle is the Way", and I absolutely loved it. It's ultimately a guidebook on how to turn obstacles or challenges into positive, advantageous opportunities. Would highly recommend it. You can grab yourself a copy here. Any recommendations for what I should read next?
I'm a big believer in sleep. Not because I'm lazy, but because I know the importance of getting a good night's rest and how it impacts your productivity, drive and overall health. Earlier in the week, Joe Rogan sat down with Matthew Walker (Professor of Neuroscience and Psychology at the University of California and Founder and Director of the Center for Human Sleep Science) to talk about sleep and just how exactly it affects your brain. One striking fact I took from it was that people who only get 5/6 hours sleep a night (compared to the recommended 8) will age by a decade. Wow. Watch the interview below.
I've no idea why this song popped into my head this week, but it did. A classic.
