Hello everyone. I hope you're having a great Friday! A little rainy in Dublin, but there's a long weekend ahead and I'm looking forward to making the most of it!
During the week I got the chance to check out the latest psychological sci-fi movie from Alex Garland, entitled Annihilation. The story follows a group of military scientists who enter "The Shimmer", a mysterious quarantined zone full of mutating landscapes, creatures and uncertainty. A little different than what I'd normally watch, but I really enjoyed it and would recommend giving it a viewing this weekend. It's available on Netflix now!

During the week an Instagram account called MyDublinDay reached out to me to see would if I would be interested in getting involved with their project. The concept is simple: a new person takes control of the MyDublinDay account every day for 24 hours. Each day will have a new story and photos, and followers have the chance to see Dublin from a different perspective and discover a new Instagrammer they might be interested in. I really like the idea, so today is MY Dublin Day. Head on over and have a look here: https://www.instagram.com/mydublinday/.
If you've been following my blog for a while now, you know how interested I am in both good mental health and Stoic philosophy. This piece by Maria Popova ties the two, as she discusses Seneca's 'Antidote to Anxiety'. A 5 minute read - brief and to the point. Give it a look here.
