I'll be honest from the start - this isn't my idea, but I like it. This an idea from my current guru Tim Ferriss. Essentially every Friday he sends out a newsletter to all his followers that includes five of the coolest things he's found (or explored) that week. It covers books, gadgets, places, articles and anything he finds interesting that he'd like to share. I thought it was a great idea and something that would help kick start my own blog, so here it is: my first 5-Bullet Friday.
What better way to start then to share with you something straight from the inspiration himself: Tim Ferriss' first book The 4-Hour Work Week. It's been on The New York Times best seller list for over 4 years, has been translated into 35 different languages and has sold more than 1.3 million copies. Not bad! The book deals with what he refers to as "lifestyle design", and argues that by eliminating 20% of unproductive productivity that eats up most of your time, you can live a much more efficient lifestyle. Work less, work anywhere and make more money while you're doing it. Grab yourself a copy here.
Specky Scribbler is an Irish writer and editor who blogs about whatever she feels like and pulls no punches while doing so. Art, culture, politics, mental health and general ramblings can be found on her eclectic blog, and I've been really enjoying her stuff lately. Read her musings here.
Yes, I know I'm very late to the party here, but I just got around to watching Silicon Valley. It's a fun, simple and enjoyable American comedy show based on a bunch of young techies as they grow a startup in, you guessed it, Silicon Valley. The episodes are pretty short and I've already flown through the first few seasons. It's perfect weekend binge watching so get stuck in.
