Hey everyone. It's that time again! Here are 5 things I'd like to share with you today:
What idea love
Dublin pub The Bernard Shaw are running an Ecobrick initiative in order to repurpose non-biodegradable plastic waste and do their bit for the planet. They plan on using these Ecobricks in order to build a DJ riser for their Beatyard festival this summer. Not only that but if you build and bring your own Ecobrick to the bar they'll give you a free pint in exchange for it. It's a great idea and I hope more bars and businesses create initiatives like this. To find out more (and how exactly to create an Ecobrick) visit their website.
What video I watched
Coinciedentally, I came across another bar that's actually MADE from recycled bottles and newspapers, this time based in Japan. I'll be heading over there in April, so hopefully I can stop off for a pint during my travels and let you know what it's like!
What blog post I wrote
Last weekend saw the 53rd Super Bowl take place, where (spoiler) the New England Patriots beat the LA Rams. While I didn't actually watch the game, I watched most of the ads and put together a Top 5 Ads from 2019’s Super Bowl blog post for the CASTLE33 website. You can have a read of the post here, and watch my favourite below.
What quote I'm pondering
“Aim above morality. Be not simply good, be good for something.” - Henry David Thoreau
What I'm listening to
Rob de Boer just released his second single "The Looking Glass" this morning. Lovely chill track. Show him some support and have a listen below.
Thanks for reading, enjoy your weekend and I'll talk to you next week!
