Hey there! Did you miss me? After a bit of a hiatus (223 days to be precise!) I'm back with another 5-Bullet Friday. Here are 5 things I'd like to share with you today:
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. In this video Entrepreneurship, Leadership and Business Management lecturer Errol Gerson explains how a student of his was on the verge of dropping out, but once he helped her change the way she looked at her situation, her situation changed.
The book I started reading this week is "Stillness Is The Key" by Ryan Holiday, and it completes the trilogy that began with The Obstacle is The Way and Ego is the Enemy (two of my favourite reads from last year). In it, Ryan argues that stillness is the key to being better at anything you do in life. He looks at Buddhism, Stoicism, Epicureanism, Christianity, Hinduism, and countless other philosophical schools and religions and shows that it’s all but impossible to find one that doesn’t venerate this inner peace—this stillness—as the highest good and as the key to a thriving, meaningful life.
