I'm back in Dublin and happy to be home. Here are 5 things I'd like to share with you today:
Instead of working from my apartment or a co-working space while in London, I decided to visit several coffee shops each day throughout my trip in order to both get work done and try the best coffee the city has to offer. Some were fantastic, some were awful, most were pretty good. My favourites were The Coffee Works Project, Vagabond and Frequency (pictured below). Do you have any other recommendations for my next trip?
Another month has begun and it brings with it another new book. This month's read is "Ego is the Enemy" by Ryan Holiday. Here's a quick synopsis: "In Ego is the Enemy, Ryan Holiday shows us how and why ego is such a powerful internal opponent to be guarded against at all stages of our careers and lives, and that we can only create our best work when we identify, acknowledge and disarm its dangers. Drawing on an array of inspiring characters and narratives from literature, philosophy and history, the book explores the nature and dangers of ego to illustrate how you can be humble in your aspirations, gracious in your success and resilient in your failures." I'm a big fan of Ryan, loved the last book of his I read (The Obstacle is the Way) and I look forward to getting stuck into this one.
Another great sketch from Foil, Arms and Hog.
