I'm back again for another 5-Bullet Friday. This might just become a habit! Here are 5 things I'd like to share with you today:
Dr. Gabor Maté is a physician who specialises in neurology, psychiatry, and psychology, and is well known for studying and treating addiction. In this clip from a recent podcast filming with Tim Ferris, Maté talks about how to reframe a challenging moment (in this case, one of Tim's) and how to instead use it to feel more empowered.
As our adoption rate of new technologies continues at an increasingly rapid pace, it's no surprise that some show concern about the potential dangers involved. However Irish cancer researcher, physicist, and John Maddox Prize-winning science writer Dr. David Robert Grimes argues that anti 5G activists are citing low-quality studies in claiming 5G radiation is dangerous, and that the weight of evidence shows no risk. Something to consider as network providers start to roll out 5G worldwide. You can read the article on Scientific American here.
Last Sunday Nick Butter became the first person to complete a marathon in all 196 countries recognised by the UN. A former banker from the south of England, Butter raised over €75,000 for a prostate cancer charity as a result of his record-breaking journey, which began in January 2018.
“Umbrellas are a fabulous invention. You can use one when you need it, but you shouldn’t confuse it with a grapefruit. Just because something is handy doesn’t mean it’s the right tool for the job.” - Seth Godin
Big fan of the original by Disclosure, and of the remix by Flume. And now here's a cover of the remix by MEUTE. A song that just keeps on giving!
