It's been a crazy busy day! This week's blog is packed full of video, so no heavy reading for you this time. Without further ado, here are 5 things I'd like to share with you today:
I've been meaning to watch this one for a while now, but I finally got around to watching BlacKkKlansman. The story follows Ron Stallworth, an African American police officer from Colorado Springs, successfully infiltrating the local Ku Klux Klan branch with the help of a Jewish surrogate. The movie is based on actual events and is both funny and emotional. The ending is especially powerful. Highly recommend.
A big part of Christmas for many is the John Lewis ad (especially marketing nerds), and they haven't let us down in 2018. This year’s John Lewis story is about the power of a gift. And how that gift inspired, changed and influenced the course of a little boy’s life. That little boy just happens to be Elton John. The film begins in the present day and works backwards chronologically through Elton’s life right until the moment on Christmas morning when he received the special gift that changed his life. Absolutely lovely!
If you don't already know, I'm a big Pokémon (particularly Pikachu) fan. This week they released the trailer for the upcoming Pokémon live-action movie, POKÉMON Detective Pikachu. It's not at all what people expected, and I'm both terrified and excited to see the finished movie. The idea seems so outrageous that it might actually be genius. Watch the trailer to see what I'm talking about!
