So, who else is sick of Black Friday hysteria? Here are 5 things I'd like to share with you today:
What website I discovered
Hat tip to my cousin Stephen for this one: Antipodes Map. This map helps you find the antipodes of any place on Earth. What's an antipode? Well, it's the direct opposite of something. In this case, the map shows the antipode of any spot on Earth, which would be the point on Earth's surface diametrically opposite to it. If you're to click on Dublin, you end up in the sea, just off the coast of New Zealand. Wherever you are in the world, have a go and see where you end up!
What trailer I watched
Next year's 90s nostalgia is gonna be through the roof. Last night Disney released the first trailer for their new live-action reboot of The Lion King. Watch the trailer below and let me know what you think!
What I wrote
Well, I didn't write it this week, but it's quite relevant to this week (especially today). Back in August, I wrote about the Rule of 100: why some businesses offer percentage discounts as opposed to monetary discounts, and vice versa. It might not sound particularly exciting, but if you're wondering why some Black Friday deals are 10% off or €10 off, click here to learn the psychology behind it.
What quote I'm pondering
One that's a bit relevant today.. “Do not spoil what you have by desiring what you have not; remember that what you now have was once among the things you only hoped for.” - Epicurus
What I'm listening to
Improvised & recorded at Red Bull Studios Paris, here are Fkj & Masego performing 'Tadow'.
Thanks for reading, enjoy your weekend and I'll talk to you next week!
