My good friend and amazing artist Jill L'Estrange opens her first solo exhibition this evening in The Tara Building, and I'm really looking forward to heading along.
Jill is an abstract expressionist artist and works predominantly in oil paint. The exhibition, 'Flux', is an exploration of fluidity and movement, capturing constant change through lyrical abstraction and the continuous flow of the Irish Tides and will feature all original oil paintings by Jill, on both canvas and paper.
Jill is one of the few people in life that I've instantly been hugely impressed by. I remember first meeting her and being so intimidated by the sheer talent and confidence she had. I was a bit lost for words - and that's a really unusual thing for me as I'm sure some of you know! Her main passion is interior architecture and design and has been involved in creating some of the most stunning bars and restaurants in Dublin.
The event takes place in The Tara Building, Tara Street, Dublin 2 and runs from today until October 9th. If you're around town over the next few days I'd highly recommend checking it out. I've gotten an early preview and the work is stunning. See you there!
